Kelsey Hogan Bio

Born and raised in the beautiful town of Steady Brook, Newfoundland, Kelsey is in her third year at the University of New Brunswick's Renaissance College studying Interdisciplinary Leadership and Psychology. Kelsey is also a Loran scholar, receiving this prestigious award in recognition of her continued commitment to community service, breadth in academic and extra-curricular interests, and entrepreneurial spirit.


Music, theatre, triathlons, travel, and making people smile are among Kelsey's many passions. Kelsey strives to approach every situation and challenge with an optimistic attitude, enthusiastic energy, and adaptable open-mindedness. She is excited about building community and promoting wellbeing through the creative arts, athletics, and the environment.


Kelsey explored knowledge exchange practices and policies effecting mental health as an intern at the Canadian Mental Health Association in Toronto, Ontario from May to August of 2014. This past summer, she assisted with community-based environmental initiatives during a three month internship with the Vava'u Environmental Protection Association in the Pacific island of Tonga.


Looking ahead to this year, Kelsey is excited to work with such a dynamic group of people and gain further insight into Atlantic Canada's entrepreneurial ecosystem through the Student Ambassador Program.
